New Product Release：CABLINE®-UMF 0.4-mm pitch, right-angle, vertical, fully-shielded (ZenShield®), FPC connector with mechanical lock (2026/Mar/5)
I-PEX is introducing the new CABLINE®-UMF connector, specifically engineered for Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) cables. This new connector in the CABLINE® series is offered in a small form-factor (2.35 mm height) with a mechanical lock, while maintaining the signal integrity and EMI performance of other CABLINE® products.
Back ground
The suppression of EMI noise is becoming increasingly critical in IoT applications as the wireless networks expand in scale and complexity. The internal antennas in IoT devices, operating across multiple frequency bands, are particularly vulnerable to the EMI noise generated by nearby high-speed signals. In order to achieve adequate isolations between antennas, advanced shielding at the connectors is essential.
I-PEX’s proprietary shielding technology, ZenShield®, was engineered to suppress EMI noise with 360° shielding around the connectors. Our legacy CABLINE®-UM connectors, intended for micro-coax cables, have been offering designers the isolation they need in various applications. Now, the designers can benefit from the same ZenShield® technology for Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) cables with our new CABLINE®-UMF connectors.
