MHF Switch Products for Antenna Testing
MHF®-SW23 is a compact RF switch connector with plug and receptacle components, supporting frequencies up to 11 GHz. Its contaminant resistant design prevents any signal discontinuity even after repeated mating cycles. With low profile height of 1.3 mm (max), the switch is suitable for high density designs where vertical clearance is limited. Often used as a switch to select on-board or external antenna, MHF®-SW23 offers excellent isolation in OFF state and optimal Signal Integrity in ON state. Testing of antenna modules by using Inspection Probes is also quite common application for these products.
MHF®-SW23 plug and receptacle

A friction type inspection and test plug probe is available to quickly probe the RF signals from switch receptacle on PCB. High Cycle MHF®-SW23 to SMA test adapters are also available for these switch products and are shown below for reference.
With the compact footprint of just 2.3 mm x 2.3 mm, MHF®-SW23 products can be added easily in the RF signal path without affecting the signal quality. These RF switch products offer excellent signal integrity by minimizing the ON state Insertion Loss down to 0.5 dB and keeping the VSWR to 1.5 max at the highest frequency of 11 GHz. At the same time, the high isolation ensures no false switching of RF signals, when the switch is OFF.
MHF®-SW23 Plug is a low profile plug component with stack up height of only 3.7 mm and mates with the switch receptacle. The switch plug can be used with 1.13 mm outer diameter coaxial cable and operates up to 9 GHz. With maximum rated power of 2 Watts, MHF®-SW23 plugs are suitable for common antenna connectivity in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and LTE portable wireless systems.
